Young Beginnings
My Goals as a

E D U C A T O R
I have many goals as a HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator, but first and foremost, my goal is to support women and families in their birthing journey - to empower them to ask questions, know their options, and advocate for themselves. I want to help women realize their instinctive power and potential within themselves and their bodies to have a calm, gentle and safe birth, whether they choose to birth at home, a birth center, or a hospital.
I want to encourage families to focus on the type of birth experience they’d like to manifest. I want to help women realize that while they may not have control over the way their birth will go, with practice and preparation they can be in control of how they respond to any unexpected turns their birthing may take in a calm and confident manner.
I want to help women trust that their body was designed to give birth and that their body and their baby’s body were created to birth together naturally.
I want to help women understand the power of their birthing bodies and how fear can inhibit the natural progression of labor. I want to prepare them with questions to ask so they can know the birthing options available to them.
I want to help women understand that words and thoughts are powerful and can interfere with the natural functions of their bodies. I want to encourage women to practice mindfulness, positive affirmations, and to make a conscious effort to change their mindset around how they view birth because what our mind believes, our body can achieve.
I want to encourage women and families to surround themselves with people who are willing to support their birth choices and to remind them that if someone tries to tell them scary or traumatic birth stories of their own, it is totally acceptable to respectfully ask them to save them until after the baby arrives.
